I am visiting Bal'mer from out of state (10 hours away) and was all excited until I heard I have to get a card or something sent to me before I can plug in. Fail. How would I do that in the next 4 hours before I leave for Baltimore? That's like asking people to get a card a week before parking at a meter. Doesn't encourage last minute drop-ins, does it?

You can actually go to Baltimore and simply plugin- it's free and it's easy to use. Eventually many of the charging stations will be card access. Fortunately, many of our installations are free access which means you could simply drive up and use it! We also have our 1-800-663-5633 number on every charging station if you need assistance.

Out of curiosity though, where did you hear that you had to purchase a card first?
